Tour Dates: (3 days, 2 nights)
Starts: Friday, 17 October at 2:00pm
Finishes: Sunday, 19 October at 10:00am

This weekend is designed for photographers of all levels, and together we’ll explore:

  • Composition techniques

  • How to improve your overall photography

  • Understanding exposure and focus

  • Understanding neutral density filters

  • Advanced techniques such as panoramas, intentional camera movement, stacking and bracketing.

  • The magic of night photography

Day 1

The tour will commence with a meet and greet and getting you settled into your accommodation. We then head straight out to Lake Tyrrell.  Topics covered will include Composition and panoramas. We will capture the late afternoon light and head back to town for tea at the pub at 6.00pm. After tea we will head back out for sunset at 7.30pm and a night session to capture the most amazing stars you will ever see.

Day 2

No doubt you will all be sleepy heads in the morning so have a cruisy breakfast (if you are an early riser you are welcome to capture the sunrise under your own steam). We will then check out the Sky Mirror Gallery for some inspiration and the Sea Lake Silo artwork. We will take a picnic lunch out to Lake Tyrrell. Topics to be covered today include intentional camera movement, ND filters, focus stacking and exposure bracketing.  We will again come back into town for tea. After sunset we will either capture the stars or do a bit of light painting. There is also a light show at the silos.

Day 3

On the Sunday morning, we will get up early to capture the sunrise. Then it is back to town for breakfast and check out time is 10am. After you have checked out of your accommodation we will come together for a final question and answer session, after which it will be time to head home.

The tour itinerary will be flexible depending on the weather conditions but the above example shows mainly what will be covered.
