You get your own private accommodation so you can unwind and rest at the end of an exhilarating day.

TOUR OVERVIEW:

We will pick you up from the Leknes airport on Day 1 and take you to your accommodation. Our accommodation for the tour is at Solsiden Brygge at Ballstad and the perfect base to explore this area of Lofoten.

Having the one base means we can concentrate on our photography rather than having to shift camp.

We will leave each days itinerary fairly open and decide shooting locations on a day to day basis. Locations include, but not limited to Reine, Hamnøy, Flakstad, Skagsanden and Å. The beaches of Utakleiv and Haukland are just a short drive away, and we could easily visit Svolvær and beyond from here if we decide to.

On the last day we will return you to Leknes airport.

WHY SEPTEMBER?

September is Autumn in Norway. The leaves are changing colour and the days can be warm or sometimes wet and the night skies can be clear or sometimes cloudy. But the photo opportunities are there both day and night. So picture this..... moody mountain scenes, gorgeous sunsets over the beach, starry night skies. For photographing both day and night - it is the best time to go there! In Winter, the sun doesn't rise, so it is dark all the time. It's a bit hard to see the magnificent scenery. And it IS magnificent! But in September we are getting day and night and so can see the beautiful country AND the Aurora Borealis if she decides to dance. In other words - we get the best of both worlds. September 23 is also the equinox and the aurora is more active around the equinox.

This is not just a tour where I show you pretty places. It is a tour where I will guide you and teach you so YOU get the best possible shot at a bucket list location.

WHAT YOU WILL PHOTOGRAPH:

Aurora Borealis (depending on cloud and aurora conditions). But if the night is clear, we will be chasing!!!
